Beauty Stores Survey

Beauty Store Business recently conducted its annual survey of beauty stores. The survey addressed many aspects of the industry including store sizes, customer trends and average sales from year to year. Hundreds of stores participated in the 2007 survey. Take a look at the results in the store survey article to see how your store compares.

The respondents said their top challenge is staffing. I hear this about this concern regularly when I talk to beauty industry professionals. And most professionals agree that proper and continued training helps to address staffing issues.

If you are interested in offering your staff online training to help decrease your staffing concerns contact CosmetologyCampus about our online continuing education training.

In a follow up to last weeks blog on industry growth there is more exciting news I wanted to share with you! According to the article one reason cosmetology was added to the list is because while many careers are sent offshore at an alarming rate Hair Stylists services are not at risk of being done oversees to lower costs.

The article also pointed out many college graduates are having difficulty finding jobs that require college education. U.S. News suggests skilled trades such as those requiring a cosmetology license as an alternative option.
